LG's Q family consists of devices that can be defined as affordable versions of its main flagships. The first devices in the range were the LG Q6 and LG Q8, which are, respectively, mini versions of the LG G6 and LG V20. Also recently, the South Korean company launched the Q7 trio to offer cheap alternatives to people who cannot afford its latest flagship, the LG G7 ThinQ. Now, it seems that the LG Q8 + is being prepared, a terminal that is expected to become the affordable version of the LG V30. What do we know about him?
Rather little. Earlier this month, the phone was listed by the KCC (the Korean equivalent of the American FCC) in two variants identified by the code names LM-Q815S and LM-Q815L. Now, the name of the phone has reappeared in a list of devices compatible with Google Play confirming its existence. The first of the versions has also been certified by the WiFi Alliance. Everything indicates, therefore, that its presentation could be imminent.
However, despite these leaks, the specifications of the new model have not been disclosed. The most normal thing is that they are better than those of the LG Q8 and somewhat more restrained than those of the V30. That is, it would be straddling these two teams. Hopefully it looks something more like the second, but at a cheaper price. The LG V30 is one of the South Korean infinity screen phones. It has a 6-inch panel with OLED technology and a QuadHD + resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels. One of its main claims is its sound capacity, thanks to the company's collaboration with Bang & Olufsen and its powerful Quad DAC Hi-Fi chip.
This mobile also has an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4 GB of RAM and a 3,300 mAh battery with fast charging. The photographic section is composed of a 16 and 13 megapixel dual main camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. This device can be found at an official price of 900 euros. As we say, we expect the LG Q8 + to be similar in performance, but much cheaper. We will give you more details as soon as we have new information.
