Next week the MWC in Barcelona will be held, an event in which we will meet a multitude of new mobiles. However, some companies prefer to present their phones before the fair. Or, as LG has done, leave a brushstroke of what we can see there. The Korean manufacturer has published on its official blog the characteristics of the new LG Q60, LG K50 and LG K40, three mid-range terminals that will see the light at the Barcelona fair. The company has revealed practically all its characteristics, so we can say that it has officially presented them.
The LG Q60, LG K50 and LG K40 have, according to LG itself, with premium features, advanced technologies and an elegant design, all without having to empty our bank account. The top two models offer a large screen and all three have an Artificial Intelligence camera and DTS: X sound. And as for the photographic section, we are uploading between one and three cameras on the back. But the best thing is that we see the main characteristics of the three models separately.
LG Q60
The LG Q60 is the model with the best features of the three. It has a 6.26-inch FullVision screen with HD + resolution and 19: 9 format. In the published image we can see that it offers a design with a drop-shaped front camera and that it has a rather pronounced lower black frame.
The rear appears to be glass, but this has not been confirmed. The fingerprint reader is located in the central area of the rear, just below the cameras. The terminal has overall dimensions of 161.3 x 77 x 8.7 millimeters, so it is quite tall.
Inside we find a processor whose name has not been revealed, but we know that it has eight cores running at 2 GHz. It is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and capacity for a Micro SD of up to 2 TB. The set is completed by a 3,500 milliamp battery.
But perhaps the most remarkable thing about the LG Q60 is its triple rear camera. This consists of a 16 megapixel main sensor with PDAF focus, which is accompanied by a 2 megapixel sensor that takes care of depth. A 5 megapixel super wide-angle sensor completes the set. The front camera offers a 13 megapixel sensor.
LG K50
The LG K50 sports a design almost identical to that of its older brother, although it cuts back on some features. It has the same 6.26-inch screen with HD + resolution and 19: 9 aspect ratio. Also the front camera with the drop-shaped notch and the lower frames.
Regarding the LG Q60, we have the same battery, the same processor and the same amount of RAM. Of course, we went from 64 GB of storage to 32 GB internal.
The main difference between these two terminals we see in the photographic section. The LG K50 equips a dual camera system on the rear, with a 13-megapixel main sensor that is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front we have a 13 megapixel sensor.
LG K40
The simplest model that LG has presented is the LG K40, a smaller terminal with more modest features. It has a 5.7-inch screen with HD + resolution and 18: 9 format. That is, the drop-shaped notch disappears and we have a terminal with a more classic design.
The processor does seem to be maintained, which is still an Octa-Core at 2 GHz. However, the memory is reduced to 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It also dwindles the battery, with a capacity of 3,000 milliamps.
The photographic system happens to be formed by a single 16 megapixel sensor on the back. And a front sensor with 8 megapixel resolution and LED flash.
At the moment we do not know the launch date or the price of the new LG Q60, LG K50 and LG K40, but they can be seen at the LG stand at MWC.
