When looking for a new mobile, we always want the best possible design and features. However, if our budget is very low, this is not possible. Still, some manufacturers offer a design similar to that of premium terminals for much less money. This is the case of the Leagoo S8, which resembles the Korean terminal even in part of the name. And we are talking about a mobile with a 5.7-inch screen almost without frames, four cameras (two in front and two behind), an eight-core processor, a good amount of memory and an acceptable battery. All this with a surprising price of 120 dollars, about 100 euros.
As we mentioned, the Leagoo S8 is very similar in design to the Samsung Galaxy S8. In fact, its frontal appearance is practically identical. We have a screen that occupies practically the entire front, with very narrow upper and lower frames. The big difference is that the Leagoo S8 has almost invisible 1 millimeter side bezels, while the Samsung terminal has a curved screen on the sides.
The terminal is made with a metal frame and a shiny back cover. The material of this case has not been revealed, but it would be surprising if it was glass. Precisely in the back we have the fingerprint reader placed. Leagoo has achieved a fairly compact terminal, with only 6.9 millimeters thick. The S8 is available in black and a striking blue.
But, without a doubt, the great protagonist of the design is the screen. The Leagoo S8 equips a 5.72-inch panel manufactured by Sharp. This panel has a resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels. The screen has a 1,500: 1 contrast and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Inside the Leagoo S8 we have a Mediatek MT6750 processor with eight 1.5 GHz cores. Accompanying this chip we have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
We do not forget the photographic section. As we have mentioned, the Leagoo S8 has up to four cameras. At the rear we have a Sony 13 megapixel sensor that is accompanied by another 2 - megapixel sensor. The aperture is f / 2.0 and both sensors also use 1.12 µm pixels.
Also on the front we have a double camera. Specifically we have a 8 megapixel sensor and a 2 - megapixel sensor. The aperture is also f / 2.0 and both sensors use 1.12 µm pixels.
Lastly, the Leagoo S8 has a 2,940 milliamp battery. This offers, according to the manufacturer, up to 36 hours of autonomy with normal use. All hardware is controlled by Leagoo OS 3.0 system, based on Android 7.0.
As we mentioned, the Leagoo S8 is in a pre-sale campaign with a price of 120 dollars, about 100 euros. Once this campaign ends, its price will increase to 170 dollars, about 145 euros.
