Sandisk has taken advantage of the celebration of the MWC in Barcelona to present a new memory card for mobile phones. The first microSDXC card with a capacity of 1 TB hits the market. It is part of the Sandisk Extreme range and is of the UHS-I type, in addition to having an A2 specification. A card designed to resist extreme conditions and that offers a very high read and write speed. In short, the 1 TB microSD card is ideal for 4K video recording, both on mobiles and on action cameras.

Sandisk's new 1TB microSD offers a read speed of up to 160MB / s. And this is very fast? To give you an idea, this speed allows transferring 1,000 high resolution photos and 30 minutes of 4K video (24 GB) in less than 3 minutes.
It also has a writing speed of up to 90 MB / s. This allows us to record video with 4K UHD resolution without suffering cuts or unexpected stops. We must bear in mind that 4K video recording requires a card that is fast writing.
Sandisk's 1TB microSD card features UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class 30 (V30) ratings, proving its ability to record both high-frame rate Full HD video and 4K video. In addition, the A2 specification indicates that we can use it practically as if it were the internal memory of the mobile.
Lastly, Sandisk 1TB microSD cards feature a durable design, ready for extreme environments. They are shock-proof, temperature-proof, waterproof, and X-ray proof. This will allow us to enjoy our camera without worrying about the durability of our memory card.
On the other hand, if we want to use this fast 1 TB microSD card with our camera, we can always use the adapter that is included with the Sandisk cards.
The 1TB Sandisk Extreme will go on sale in April at a price of $ 450. This version will be accompanied by a 512 GB model with the same read and write speed. This will be priced at $ 200. At the moment we do not know at what price and when they will arrive in Spain.
