A new leak in the form of a photograph has revealed to us what could be the final technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, the new phablet- type smartphone from the South Korean company Samsung. This leak, in addition to confirming the specifications that we already knew, has also revealed some small changes such as, for example, the RAM memory (which, instead of being 2 GigaBytes, could finally be 1.5 GigaBytes) or the capacity of the battery (finally set at 2,800 mAh, and not between 3,000 and 3,500 mAh as thought until now).
If we summarize the technical specifications that have been seen in this leak, the first thing we will see is that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 will have a size of 163.6 x 84.9 x 8.6 millimeters ( with a weight yet to be determined). The screen size will be six inches, and resolution will eventually reach the 1,280 x 720 pixels. These dimensions would be even higher than the size of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is set at 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm.
As regards the components, the Galaxy Mega 2 will incorporate a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 of four cores that operate at a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. Until now it was thought that the capacity of the RAM memory would be set at 2 GigaBytes, while this new leak indicates that this capacity will be 1.5 GigaBytes. The RAM memory capacity will be 16 GigaBytes (expandable through a microSD card of up to 64 GigaBytes), and the operating system installed as standard will beAndroid in its Android version 4.4.2 KitKat.
The main camera of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 will incorporate a sensor eight megapixels (with LED flash), while the front camera will come with a sensor of 2.1 megapixels. The battery capacity will be set at 2,800 mAh, which will be somewhat lower than the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (3,200 mAh) and slightly higher than the 2,600 mAh of the Samsung Galaxy 5.8. The autonomy offered both phones was up 17 and 12 hours (respectively) in conversation, so that theSamsung Galaxy Mega 2 we can expect a very similar autonomy.
All other features of the technical sheet of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 confirm to us that this smartphone will come with connectivity 4G LTE of Internet ultra-fast, incorporating an output microUSB 2.0 and serial bring the application of FM Radio. All this assuming that this leak is true, since at the moment we do not have any official confirmation from Samsung.
At first it was expected that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 would be officially presented during the IFA 2014 technology event (from September 5 to 10), but a recent leak has put us on the clue that this smartphone could be presented officially during this same month of August.
