Huawei has quietly launched the Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 in Europe. As its name suggests, it is an improved version of the Huawei Y6 2017. The new terminal comes with great changes compared to the "normal" version. We have everything from a new metal design to a better processor. However, some features such as screen size remain. Despite everything, the Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 remains an affordable terminal. It will reach the Spanish market in the coming weeks with a price of 180 euros.

Metallic design
One of the most interesting novelties of the Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 is found in its design. This time the Chinese manufacturer has opted for a metal back case. This gives it a much more premium and elegant design.
Otherwise, the design of the terminal is very similar to that of other models of the company. We have a display with very narrow side bezels and larger top and bottom bezels. The Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 will be available in three colors: silver, black and gold.
Fingerprint reader
Another of the great novelties of the Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 compared to the normal version is the incorporation of a fingerprint reader. This is located at the back of the terminal, right in the center. A very common location on Huawei smartphones.
According to the company, the fingerprint sensor can unlock the device in 0.5 seconds. In addition it also can be used to control the alarm clock, answer a call, hold the notification bar or take a photograph.
Improved technical set
As a good Pro version, the new model brings a hardware upgrade. At least in some of its characteristics. The screen, for example, is not one of them. Still we have a panel 5 inch 1280 x 720 pixels.
Inside we do find improvements. The Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 has a Snapdragon 425 processor manufactured by Qualcomm. Accompanying this processor we have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. We can expand this capacity using a microSD card.
We also found a slight improvement in the battery, which amounts to 3,020 milliamps. It's not a big difference, but any battery improvements are welcome.
Decent cameras
The Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 maintains the same photographic set as its brother. That is, as the main camera we have a 13 megapixel sensor with autofocus system and dual-tone LED flash. This camera is capable of recording video in Full HD resolution and at 30 frames per second.
For the front camera Huawei has chosen a 5 megapixel sensor with an 84ยบ lens. In addition, this front camera has a flash, something that is not too common.
Price and availability
The Huawei Y6 Pro 2017 is now available in Germany, Italy and France. As we mentioned, it has come in three color options: silver, black and gold. Its price is 180 euros. As reported by Huawei, the terminal will arrive in the rest of Europe in the coming weeks.
