Design
We start talking about the BQ Aquris 2, the device just presented. This terminal includes a polycarbonate design, like its predecessor. It has a smooth back, which curves at the side edges. In it, we find the lens for the camera and an LED flsas. In addition to the BQ logo. On the front, button panel directly at the bottom, with the current logo that represents BQ as the home button. In the upper area, we find the camera with an LED flash. In addition to the loudspeaker for calls and the navigation button.
The BQ Aquaris U has aluminum, here we see some differences. It seems that the first version is a little more rounded, the lens has this shape, as does the fingerprint reader. And the fingerprint reader on the Aquaris U2? Yes, the U2 does not include a fingerprint reader, it may be the most drastic difference in the design and security of the device. On the other hand, the Aquaris U includes the main speaker in the rear, while the U2 has it in the lower area. On the front, we hardly find any news. Of course, the U2 has a front LED flash.
Small differences in the panel
The screen also changes. The Aquaris U2 is a little bigger, specifically 0.2 inches more than the Aquaris U. Although they maintain the same resolution, HD. Both devices include anti-fingerprint treatment, resistance to scratches and splashes.
The processor also changes
The Aquaris U by BQ has an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, accompanied by 2 or 3 GB of RAM. While the BQ Aquaris U2 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, eight cores with a single version of 2 GB of RAM.
Camera
In this case, it seems that the BQ Aquaris U2 includes a better camera, although they include the same resolution, the end result does not have to be the same. The camera of the first version includes a resolution of 13 megapixels, while that of the second version includes a 13 megapixel Samsung S5K3L8 sensor, this also includes an aperture f / 2.2, 1.12 µm / pixel, PDAF and the possibility of shooting in RAW format among others.
Connections
There is also a difference in the connections. Both models include 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, WI-FI and GPS. The difference is that the Aquaris U has a fingerprint reader, while the U2 sacrifices this reader, for NFC connectivity. Yes, the one that allows us to make mobile payments among other things. Is it worth the sacrifice?
