The Wiko company has presented the new U range, whose maximum exponent is the Wiko Ufeel. It is a mobile with a rather peculiar design, since it combines a metal frame with a back cover made of plastic but that offers a rough touch, with a sandstone effect. We also have a screen 5 inches with HD resolution and a main camera of 13 megapixels. In addition, the new Wiko terminal will offer us enough power to move practically any application, thanks to its quad-core processor. And accompanying this set, we have a fingerprint reader. But, what do you think if we tell you that we can get all this for 200 euros ? Let's go over the top five features of the Wiko Ufeel.
Design with a different touch
The design of the Wiko Ufeel, at first, may seem quite simple, with rounded edges and a large home button in the purest style of Samsung terminals. However, this design has some pretty interesting surprises. The first thing we can see is that the company has used 2.5D glass on the front, that is, the screen has a slight curve, in addition to having an extra point of resistance to bumps and scratches.
But perhaps the most striking part of the Wiko Ufeel's design is its back. In the manufacturer's own words, the terminal has a neo-retro look that combines a metal frame with a sandstone-effect back cover. This effect gives it a rough feel on the back, even though the material used is plastic. The Wiko Ufeel is available in three colors: chocolate, space gray and cream. The overall dimensions of the terminal are of 143 x 70.7 x 8.55 mm, weighing 145 grams.
More than just an HD screen
The Wiko Ufeel has a display panel IPS 5 inches and a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The density stays at 294 dots per inch. A priori it may not seem like a too spectacular screen, but it hides some hidden weapons. The first, a brightness of 420 nits that will allow us to see the screen correctly even in broad daylight. On the other hand, CABC technology will automatically adjust the screen lighting to achieve more vivid colors and sharper text. Finally, the Wiko Ufeel screen uses Full Lamination technology, with which it is possible to avoid reflections, optimize graphics and improve viewing angles.
Camera signed by Sony
The French company, owned by the Chinese company Tinno, has not neglected the photographic section of its new terminal. The Wiko Ufeel mounts a main camera 13 megapixel sensor Sony IMX 258, lens 5P and blue optical filter to improve the quality of photos. This lens incorporates an autofocus system capable of focusing the image in just 0.5 seconds, and it is also accompanied by a 240 LM LED flash that will help us get the best photos even in the lowest light conditions. In addition the DUAL View mode it will capture photos or videos with both cameras, the main and the front, at the same time.
In the front we have a camera of 5 megapixels and wide angle lens, which comes with a special flash for selfies. We can get selfies with an angle of up to 100 degrees, perfect if we want to take a group selfie .
Enough power to move any application
The Wiko Ufeel incorporates inside a Cortex-A53 processor with 64-bit architecture and four cores running at 1.3 GHz. The graphics is handled by a Mali T720 GPU. This set is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, expandable by a microSD card of up to 64 GB. The Wiko terminal also includes support for Dual SIM.
At the connectivity level, the terminal is compatible with category 4 4G LTE networks, it also includes WiFi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0. In terms of autonomy, we have a 2,500 milliamp battery that, according to data from the company itself, will give us an autonomy of up to 212 hours in rest and 13 hours in talk on 3G. We will have to wait to test it to see what its real capacity is.
Like any current terminal worth its salt, the Wiko Ufeel comes with the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, yes, accompanied by the Wiko UI customization layer.
Fingerprint reader for more than just unlocking your phone
The Wiko Ufeel incorporates an integrated fingerprint reader just below the screen. The company ensures that its fingerprint reader is very fast, being able to unlock the terminal in 0.48 seconds. With this sensor we can unlock the terminal, of course, but also perform a series of unusual functions. For example, we can register up to 5 different fingerprints, using one or two hands. Once registered, the terminal will allow us to customize 5 actions or shortcutsfor our favorite applications, run the tools we use the most or create a shortcut to call someone specific, all simply using one finger or another. In addition to these shortcuts, the software included in the Wiko Ufeel will allow us to protect the most personal applications, photos or folders by means of a fingerprint.
In short, we have before us a terminal that incorporates some interesting advances with a very contained price. The Wiko Ufeel offers us a 5-inch screen with HD resolution, a 13-megapixel camera with a Sony sensor, a quad-core processor accompanied by 3 GB of RAM, a fingerprint reader and the latest version of Android. All this with a price of 200 euros.
