In a couple of days we will know what are the surprises that Apple has in store for us for its mobile catalog. It will be next Tuesday, October 4, when the curtain rises in Cupertino on the iPhone 5, or the iPhone 4S, or both.
Many rumors are those that surround the subject, and today we bring you one more. This time, it comes from AT&T, where an inventory document would reveal that the name of the terminal would be iPhone 5. Or at least one of them. Or at least, once again, the codename of said device.
Too many unknowns to certify before Apple can make this information official. In any case, the information that now comes to us from the North American operator does not clarify whether the iPhone 5 will have a 3.5-inch or 3.7-inch or four-inch screen.
Nor does it emphasize whether the camera will install a maximum resolution of eight megapixels or if the processor, indeed, will be the A5 of the iPad 2 with a GHz of power. Nothing of that.
According to the data that emerges from the AT&T leak, what would have arrived at the operator's warehouses, or at least, would be upon arrival, would be a set of cases specifically designed for the iPhone 5, as recorded in the system computerized company inventory.
At the moment there are no images of what those cases that AT&T would receive, manufactured by Case-Mate, would be like. Although if you do memory (and the memory on the network is within reach of a link), a few weeks ago some images were leaked in which you could see what the cases that that same manufacturer would have designed for the new iPhone 5 would be like.
From that slip we were able to deduce a series of characteristics for the iPhone 5 (as long as we accept the filtered images). For starters, the back cover would become aluminum, looking very close to that of the iPad 2.
On the other hand, the side volume buttons would also significantly change their design. It is also striking that the cases have a couple of holes on the opposite side of the volume controls, which suggests a new dedicated button, perhaps to launch the camera.
