We are still attentive to the different rumors of the new Samsung devices that have to see the light in 2018. One of them, of course, is the new Samsung Galaxy J8, a renewal of its entry-level catalog. We already know some of its (possible) specifications thanks to the Geekbench tests that have been coming out in recent weeks and that we remind you of below.
Thanks to that leak we already know something more about the renewal of the Samsung Galaxy J range, which would have the following numbering: Samsung Galaxy J4, Samsung Galaxy J6 and Samsung Galaxy J8. What is most striking is how different the rear design of the Samsung Galaxy J8 is compared to its previous Samsung Galaxy J7: we apparently have a speaker and an LED flash and, right in the middle, the rear camera sensor. No trace of fingerprint sensor, so we would not have an infinite screen in this range.
New Samsung Galaxy J8: rumors
Among the rumors of its specifications, we have the results of the Geekbench tests in which we see the following sections:
The Samsung Galaxy J8 2018 would have a 5.5-inch screen and 1280 x 720 resolution. In addition, it would carry inside an Exynos 7870 processor, an 8-core machine with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz, a graphic power of up to 1920 x 1200 pixels and Full HD video playback at 60 frames per second. On the other hand, the RAM memory would remain at 3 GB, the minimum that should be required in a terminal to have a good performance in 2018.
Taking into account that the predecessor of the Samsung Galaxy J8 had 16 GB, we could expect an improvement and that it would reach 32 GB. However, we could always count on the insertion of microSD cards that, at least, would give us 256 GB of extra memory. As for the operating system, the test launched that it would run under Android 8 Oreo.
The date of presentation of the new Samsung entry range is still unknown, although we will be pending when this happens. A range, the Samsung Galaxy J, which has a great acceptance, by encompassing economic prices and sufficient performance for the general public.
