Samsung has launched a new terminal aimed at the entry range of Android smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace is a "reduced" version of the Samsung Galaxy J2 2016, presented back in July last year. The new model is part of the company's "Make for India" project, but it is not ruled out that it could reach Europe. A very basic terminal, with a 5-inch screen, simple processor, 8 megapixel camera and “Ultra Data Saving” mode to save data. We are going to review the features of the new Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace.
5 inch screen
As we mentioned, the new Samsung terminal is aimed at the lowest range of Android and focuses on the Indian market, so it offers quite basic features. However, the company has decided to include a display panel 5 inches and resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. Although it is a shame that the company has not kept the Super AMOLED panel of the Samsung Galaxy J2 2016, at least the size of it has been maintained. It is clear that during this year we will see very few terminals that go below 5 inches.
Turbo Speed ”‹ ”‹ Technology
Although the technical set of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace is very simple, the company has included TST (Turbo Speed Technology) technology. A system that optimizes the RAM memory of the device to open applications more quickly. And it is that inside the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace we find a processor with four cores running at 1.4 GHz. Accompanying the processor we have 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. This storage can be expanded using a microSD memory card up to 256 GB.
UDS mode
As you can imagine, the data plans sold in India are very different from the ones we have in Europe. Therefore, any terminal that is launched in the country must treat data consumption with delicacy. Therefore, Samsung has included in the J2 Ace the "Ultra Data Saving" mode, which provides up to 50 percent savings on mobile data by compressing the data used by applications in the background.
Front camera with flash
The Samsung Galaxy Ace J2 features a front camera with CMOS sensor 8 megapixels and aperture f / 2.2. This camera comes with an LED flash and an autofocus system. The front camera comprises a sensor 5 megapixels, also with aperture f / 2.2. However, what is surprising about this simple photographic set is that the front camera is also equipped with an LED flash, perfect for taking good selfies even in low light conditions.
Compatible with 4G networks
Despite being a very simple terminal, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace is compatible with 4G LTE networks and incorporates the usual connectivity, such as GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n and MicroUSB 2.0 connector. Regarding autonomy, we have a 2,600 milliamp battery. It is not, a priori, too impressive a figure, but with such a tight technical set it should offer good autonomy.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace is now available in India in gold, black and silver, with a price of about 115 euros to change.
