These are not the best moments for the company that makes the famous BlackBerry phones. And it is that it has been known that the manufacturer "" of Canadian origin "" would have hired the services of the financial companies JP Morgan and RBC Capital, to study their business plans or strategies. In other words, that RIM (acronym for Research in Motion ) could be with a view to a future sale of the company.
Some years ago, the Canadian RIM was one of the fundamental pillars when it comes to communications in mobile technology. And it was all thanks to their BlackBerry terminals that offered unusual use in terms of email management and instant messaging. This type of equipment was highly valued in the United States ”” the company's main market ”” in the professional sector. What's more, a new pathology called CrackBerry was discovered : an addiction to this type of advanced mobile phone.
However, years later, the main equipment was remodeled and the well-known "pearl" was added: a type of ball-shaped trackpad that helped the user to navigate through the menu icons and leaving aside the famous Side wheel. In addition, multimedia features were added as the ability to listen to music or taking pictures, plus special emphasis on its platform BlackBerry Messenger a type of WhatsApp intern who only worked between these teams thanks to the identification number PIN. All this made it reach a wider audience and set aside its reputation as a professional team. Later on, a pearl variant was introduced and opted for an optical trackpad "" a system that works today "".
However, the arrival of new mobile platforms and, above all, the landing of application stores in the market, would show the first signs of a significant wear and tear in their market share. Furthermore, today BlackBerry devices are mobiles that have been left for use by a minority sector; Google's Android is King both in Spain and around the world.
The BlackBerry platform has its own BlackBerry App World application store. However, the number of applications that it has are scarce compared to other platforms. Currently, the RIM store has around 15,000 applications; Android for its part exceeds 200,000. This is one of the main reasons why users have given up BlackBerry phones.
Having said all this, Research in Motion has contacted two financial companies "" JP Morgan and RBC Capital "" to study their market strategies, according to information published by the Cnet portal. However, although this is not an indication that assures a bad ending for the company, not rule out the possibility that decided to sell the company. In other words, in the not too distant future, BlackBerry mobiles could pass into the hands of other companies in the sector.
On the other hand, there are currently large mobiles on the market. A great example is the new Samsung Galaxy S3 with the latest technologies in the sector and, above all, great power including a quad-core processor. In addition, the Asian manufacturer promotes associated services such as the recent Samsung Music Hub, an aspect that is difficult to find on the platform of the Canadian company.
