Samsung has already launched the Android 9 Pie beta on the Galaxy S9, it comes with One UI, the renewed customization layer will arrive in 2019 with the latest version of Android available, but the South Korean company is already testing it on some units. How could it be otherwise, the beta of Android Pie lets us see some improvements that will soon reach the new terminals. The second version of the program that arrived just a few hours ago has revealed new functions for the camera of this terminal.
One of the most interesting features is scene recognition. It seems that the lens will be able to recognize different scenarios and adjust the camera parameters to achieve the best colors and tones in the image. This mode will come as one more category from the camera application, so the user can choose whether to use it or not.
Recognition of defects in the taking
Another novelty that will arrive with Android 9 Pie in the Galaxy S9 is the recognition of defects. In this case, the camera will notify us through messages in the app if the photograph has been blurred, if someone has closed their eyes or if there is a bad shot to be able to take another. This function also detects if the glass that protects the lens is dirty so that we can take the best picture. A very useful aspect considering that the fingerprint reader is on the back.
These enhancements are expected to reach both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 + model. The Note 9 already has these functions. The update to Android 9.0 Pie will arrive for all three models in early 2019 with the renewed One UI layer, which will change the color palette and simplify adjustments. Right now the beta is in its second phase, so it is likely that we will learn about new features later.
