After dozens of rumors and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy M21 is official. The phone comes to renew part of the characteristics that we saw in the Galaxy M20, although the essence of the latter is maintained. The changes that we find in the new iteration come from the photographic section and the processor. But the most interesting novelty has to do with its battery, whose capacity is significantly increased.

6,000 mAh battery and hardware that is renewed
Yes, you read that right, 6,000 mAh. This improvement represents a 20% improvement over its predecessor, which used a 5,000 mAh battery. Although the company has not given many details, everything indicates that the autonomy will be extended up to three or even four days, depending on the use we give the terminal.
This battery is supported by a 15 W fast charging system. The rest of the features are not far behind either: Samsung Exynos 9611 processor, 4 and 6 GB of RAM and 64 and 128 GB of internal storage. In short, the same specifications that the Samsung Galaxy A51 mounts that we were able to analyze a few weeks ago.
Regarding the connectivity of the device, the Galaxy M21 has Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi and USB type C. It is unknown if it has NFC and FM radio, although everything indicates that it does.
Design that reminds us of its predecessor
So is. In fact, the differences are practically negligible, except for the thickness, which is expected to be increased by having a more generous battery module. 6.4 inches diagonally next to an AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution and a maximum brightness level of 420 nits.
It has a rear fingerprint sensor and a rear made entirely of polycarbonate. Although we do not find any type of protection against water or dust, the Galaxy M21 has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect its screen from drops and scratches.
More and better cameras
Along with the battery, the photographic section has been significantly renewed compared to that of the Galaxy M20. On the one hand, Samsung has decided to integrate a 48 megapixel module that will act as the main sensor. It is accompanied by two new 8 and 5 megapixel sensors, one with a wide-angle lens and the other designed to improve the bokeh effect of images captured in Portrait mode.
If we move to the front, the phone has a 20 megapixel camera with facial recognition functions. Unfortunately Samsung note given many more details on these cameras.
Price and availability in Spain
At the moment, the launch of the terminal is limited to India, although it is expected to arrive in Spain in a few weeks.
In its country of origin, the exchange price in euros leaves us with an approximate value of 160 euros in its cheapest version. The price of the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is unknown.
