The owners of an iPhone, iPad or iPod updated to version iOS 8 of the operating system iOS have started receiving right now one new update of the iOS operating system. This is the iOS 8.1.2 update, and we are talking about a file that occupies only 63.6 MegaBytes and that, initially, is aimed at correcting the error of the ringtones that made the tones purchased in the App Store disappeared after the iOS 8.1.1 update, as reported by many users.
This update is now available for download directly from the iPhone, iPad and iPod as long as the device we want to update has an Internet connection via WiFi. The steps to follow to download and install the update are such that:
- We unlock the screen of our iPhone, iPad or iPod and access the Settings application.
- We enter the " General " section, which is represented by the icon of a gear.
- Click on the " Software update " option, we wait for the terminal to detect the most recent version of the iOS operating system (in this case it is iOS 8.1.2).
- Once the update is shown, we simply click on the " Download and install " option and follow the instructions that will appear on the screen.
