The news from the Samsung Developer Conference does not stop arriving. A few minutes ago we learned that the brand is already working on the Android 9 Pie update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. On this occasion, one of the most anticipated news by the followers of the brand is confirmed. This morning it was confirmed that the company from South Korea will make its smartphones compatible with the well-known Microsoft service called Microsoft xCloud. Translated into Spanish, it means that very soon we will be able to play Xbox One games on our phones as if it were a portable console.
xCloud is coming to Samsung phones soon to play with Xbox
If you are loyal Microsoft followers you surely know the Azure project. In summary, we can define it as a project for network computing using Microsoft's own servers. To date, this project was intended for the business sector. Now we can read in Sammobile that the company announces a system very similar to this with the name of xCloud aimed at emulating games from any device in conjunction with Samsung.
It is well known that Microsoft is in charge of developing the Xbox in all its versions. Hours ago it announced at the aforementioned Samsung Developer Conference its collaboration with Samsung to bring its games to mobile platforms. These have been the words of Sarah Bond, director of the Videogame Development Department at Microsoft:
We're going to create a future where the hundreds of millions of people who are holding a Samsung device are also holding a gateway to a high-powered gaming experience.
In the language of Cervantes, it means that in the future the xCloud system will be taken to any Samsung device that is compatible with it. Remember that this system is based on cloud computing, which is why any phone of the brand could be compatible. At the end of the day, the execution of the games will be carried out on Microsoft's own servers, so in theory you would only need a mobile phone of the brand and a stable and fast connection to the Internet.
It will arrive from 2019 in beta phase
At this point, you may have wondered when this service will be released on the market. According to the aforementioned directive, it will be from 2019 when the service is launched in beta. No date has been specified, but it is expected to arrive before the first half of the year.
There has also been no mention of whether it will be a free service or instead we will have to pay a monthly subscription. Another question that arises is the service's game catalog. Will Grand Thetf Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3 arrive? We will stay tuned to confirm it, but from Your Expert we hope so.
