Users with an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2 are still waiting to apply the new Untethered jailbreak that was released a week ago for the old models that do not use a dual-core processor. The French hacker behind the release of Apple's devices is called Pod2g and has published on his Twitter account that the release of the two devices, iPhone 4S and iPad 2, is closer than ever: the date he has given for The Untethered Jailbreak is within a week.
About a week or week and a half ago, the French developer Pod2g launched the long-awaited release of Apple equipment: iPhone 4, iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch that had the latest version of the Cupertino icons installed, iOS 5.0.1. However, due to the Apple A5 dual-core processors, the most recent models like iPhone 4S and iPad 2, were left without their session of Jailbreak Untethered and without news of an upcoming launch.
Pod2g is close to achieving its purpose and could be the first to unleash the iPhone 4S or iPad 2 once and for all. Anyway, and with the information that the developer has left in his Twitter account, if users who want to use the Jailbreak method -in its Untethered version-, it should not take long to update to the latest version of the Apple platform; in the event that the Cupertino team launched a new system update - iOS 5.0.2 and iOS 5.1 are expected to arrive - the whole invention would be useless. What's more, a couple of hours later, Pod2g himself warned or, rather, advised, update the two computers to iOS 5.0.1.
