Does your iPhone sound low during calls? It is one of the most common errors, and in most cases the solution is quite simple, although there are many times that the problem is hardware, and there is no choice but to take the device for repair. In this article I show you five possible solutions to the problem of calls on your iPhone. It works for any model.
Clean the iPhone earphone
Believe it or not, it is the most common solution. One of the first steps you should do is clean the earpiece of iPhone calls, the one on the top. This headset is small and dust or dirt particles are likely to get in, which can prevent us from hearing well on calls, as dirt may be blocking the sound. To clean it, you can lightly blow on the speaker in the upper area. Next, gently sweep a toothbrush, clean brush or chamois in the same direction. Do not use anything metallic or sharp, as it could damage the fabric of the speaker.
Now, check if it is heard correctly.
Check the volume level before and during the call
If you continue to have problems, you should check that the volume level is high enough. To do this, it must be checked in two ways. One is before the call, from Settings> Sounds and vibrations> Ringtone and alerts. Check that the volume level is at least half.
Moreover, check the volume on the call. When you're on a call and using the front headset (no hands-free), press the volume + button until the indicator is all the way up. Also, avoid placing your fingers in the upper area of the frame, especially if you are wearing a cover. The buttons on the case are often more sensitive to pressure, and you may be inadvertently turning the volume down.
Watch out for the mute button
Although this shouldn't be the case, the mute button can also make the iPhone low on calls. Some versions of iOS are not optimized, and when the mute button is on, the media and call volume is lowered as well. Therefore, you should check if the problem is with this button. Just turn it up when you're on a call to rule out that it's the mute control that's causing the problem.
Beware of Bluetooth
Your iPhone is likely connected to a Bluetooth device and this is causing the call to not be heard. Disconnect Bluetooth from the control center or select the 'iPhone' option in the call sound section.
Take it to tech support
Still not working? Then it is best to take your iPhone to technical support. In Apple there is an option to make an appointment in the App Store or authorized service for this problem. To do this, download the Support application from the App Store. Next, select your iPhone model and in the 'Themes' section. Click on 'More' and select the 'Audio' option. Then, click on 'Search authorized locations' and choose the center, day and time of the appointment.
