Iphone 5 and ipad 2, will record and play fullhd video thanks to a dual-core processor
The premiere of the iPad 2 is approaching, and that of the iPhone 5 would not have to walk very far either. That is why the intensity of the rumors is on the rise, and the last one that has been known is of category. From AppleInsider they have alluded to the presence of a dual-core graphics processor in the next editions of the tablet and smartphone with their own names. It would be the SGX543 chip, from the manufacturer Imagination Technologies and whose main task would be to guarantee optimal performance when it comes to playing content in FullHD high definition. That is, with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which is the same quality as that of the TV in the living room.
As detailed by AppleInsider, the presence of this chip would be complementary to a central processor that would also be dual-core. Specifically, we would be talking about an ARM Cortex A9 (currently, both iPhone 4 and iPad install the A8) with a power of one GHz per core, which is not little. However, as usual, Apple offers no confirmation or denial on this issue. And less so now, with the unexpected departure of Steve Jobs from the company's management for medical reasons (leaving the helm of the ship in the hands of his second on board, Tim Cook).
In any case, from Engadget they point in another direction in this matter of the processors that will incorporate future versions of tablets and apple-phones coming out of their factories. From the popular blog, where they also offer new images of the iPad 2, they point out that Apple will bet on Qualcomm for the manufacture of the chips of its devices (also including Apple TV systems in the bag).
