The iPhone 4S repeats the same design as the iPhone 4. It's something you already know. That both phones share what is possibly the most aesthetic, elegant and careful aspect of the entire fleet of smartphones is something that is as repeated in the form of opinions as it is dangerous when it comes to ensuring the safety of the apple phones in case of neglect or accident.
And it is that despite having said ad nauseam that Apple would have installed extra protection on both sides of the burladero (that is, both on the touch screen and on the glass back of the terminal), that it could only bend to the scratches made with a diamond, reality passes a very different path.
Through All Things Digital we have seen a video that tests the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S2 (which is, the latter, the one that today is considered the strongest alternative to the latest Apple terminal) in a field away from the technical: resistance to blows and falls. The verification has been done by methods as rudimentary as they are real and applicable to the avatars that these mobiles could encounter in their day to day.
Three falls, three, are what the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S2 have had to endure. The first, at the height at which, normally, any user would hold the phone while using it; the second, a little higher, at shoulder height; and the last one, as high as possible, at face level (for those times when, while taking a picture, the phone slips out of our hands).
The result of this violent test has surprised the authors of the savage scientist. In the first fall, the iPhone 4S broke at the height of the rear glass (by the way, Siri recorded the fear caused by the test). The second could bear it stoically. But the third time, you know, it was the charm, and the front glass of the iPhone 4S was shattered. By the way, the floor was not diamond, in case there was any doubt.
After this, the test was repeated with the Samsung Galaxy S2. However, the results were completely opposite. The Korean manufacturer's smartphone only suffered a superficial scratch on the back casing, and neither the frame nor the screen were damaged after being subjected to impacts.
