Despite the fact that rumors about an iPad 3 before the end of this year 2011 had been discarded, when it comes to talking about Apple, it is convenient not to reject any option. And it is that according to information published by AppleInsider, the apple company seeks to once again shake the competition in the tablet market, inviting its customers to take the end of the year grapes with a new edition of their personal screen.
And not only that: the iPad 3 would also be based on the rumored IPS Retina panel that was talked about so much, and that will shoot the resolution at surprising rates that are only matched by what Samsung already announced a few weeks ago. According to Reuters, the new tablet would be on the shelves during the last quarter of the year.
The news has emerged after examining the specifications contained in the beta of iOS 5 (the next edition of the operating system for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch). As has been known, the platform would have support to work on screens with a resolution of up to 1536 x 2048 pixels.
The canvas installing the two generations of iPad we know are betting on a beehive of 1,024 x 768 pixels, so with the new Apple tablet quality double its resolution, also achieving a concentration of 264 dots per inch. It does not reach the 326 dpi of the iPhone 4, but of course the result promises to be spectacular on the 9.6-inch panel of the iPad 3, if the statement in the AppleInsider report is fulfilled.
So far, the only reference that moves in this line is, as we have mentioned in the past, from Samsung. The manufacturer Korean (who has met Apple in recent days, as it was rumored from the above by an employee of the company Cupertino) have developed a technology for their tablets that achieve develop some panels up to 2560 x 1600 pixels for 10.1 inch canvas.
