If you are one of those who bought an iPad 2 with the fear that the rumors were true and Apple updated the tablet in September with the launch of the iPad 3, you can breathe easy. At least, if you trust the credit of DigiTimes, the digital medium that has a high success rate when it comes to forecasting news for the future of mobile devices and gadgets.
And is that according to that website, the rumors that Apple could launch a new iPad after the summer are just that: rumors. Digitimes echoes the anonymous statements of heads of some of the companies that provide components to Cupertino for its line of tablets and mobiles, and points out that Apple does not have a new iPad in its portfolio for this year. Or at least, they would not have been notified to meet deadlines with the delivery of supplies for new terminals.
This information also touches on other rumors about the news that Apple could equip its next iPad. Specifically, there had been talk of the possibility that the iPad 3 was equipped with a new screen that worked with the Retina Display system, so that it had a concentration of dots per inch as high as in the iPhone 4 (326 dpi).
This would provide a panel that hypothetical bestial resolution, unfortunately for those who were already drooling over it, not see the light at the next tablet of Apple. Again, the company's suppliers rule out that Cupertino has among its plans the installation of this screen, at least for now.
