Apple may be considering revamping its tablet family. And we are not referring only to the iPad 2, which according to the accounts and rumors should have already been presented in society. As they point out from the Superapple.cz site, those from Cupertino would be thinking of following their trail against the current to redesign the size of their tablet, and do it as we say, in a direction opposite to that shown by the rest of the manufacturer in recent days.
Specifically, the apple firm could be working on a new model that had a smaller screen than the only version we have known so far. Thus, that future version of the iPad could develop a six-inch panel, thus betting on what many already called this tablet as "a large format iPhone ". It would be in the fall when Apple would decide to show that model to the world, which of course, has not yet been manifested in the form of a prototype.
While we are still waiting for the iPad 2 to come true (the first fortnight of February was planned for its presentation, with a view to going on sale between April 2 and 9), the news of this extra edition of the tablet has caused skepticism among specialists.
The fact that Apple fragments the technical characteristics of its tablet so much, differentiating it even more from the rest of the devices compatible with the App Store (iPod Touch, iPhone, and the present edition of the iPad), has made many think that the possibility of a new iPad of reduced dimensions is beyond the logical within the aspirations of Apple.
On the other hand, as we said at the beginning, it would be curious that, when all manufacturers have agreed to launch devices with a screen of a similar or larger format than the iPad, from Cupertino they decided to propose a device with more compact dimensions.
