We released the month of February, and with it, the possible presentation of Apple's iPad 2 becomes closer. The new tablet of the Cupertino people is about to fall, at least, as has been pointed out on several occasions, placing the call to present the 2011 edition of this device to the world for the next few days. It will be then when it can be confirmed if it will finally be equipped with all the features that have been talked about in recent weeks.
The most recent speculation regarding the characteristics that the new tablet would have comes from a Chinese consultancy called Concord Securities Group, which specializes in electronic commerce. According to this company through one of its analysts, Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo, the new iPad 2 would far exceed the power of the current business model. This would be possible thanks to a new dual-core processor that would expend 1.2 GHz power.
On the other hand, according to Phone Arena, echoing the words of Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPad 2 could also be equipped with a new graphic processing heart, specially designed so that its 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution panel would render smoothly at a good frame rate.
In this sense, they point out from this site that it could be a PowerVR SGX543MP2 chip, with a dedicated power that could also be distributed in a dual processor. In other words, the iPad 2 could have really high graphics performance.
However, from this consultancy they have also pointed out some details that have surprised by what they imply. And it is that Concord ensures that the rear camera of the iPad 2 would have only one megapixel of resolution, reserving 0.3 megapixels for the front sensor.
If this is true, the arrival of the camera system to the iPad 2 would be more than disappointing. We will have to wait to see how lucky this company's prediction is.
