It could be that the release date of the iPad 2 was already known. At least, in an unofficial approach. We had already told you in Tuexpertomovil that next February 1 could be the one chosen by Apple to introduce the world to the next edition of the tablet that started a new category of electronic consumption. But as with the current version, it would not be until a couple of months later when the device hit stores.

Specifically, as we know through MacNotes.DE, the iPad 2 from Apple hit stores between 2 and 9 April. The source of the information says that it has data that it maintains anonymously that corroborates this bombing, although surely there is a lot of pool on the dates indicated, playing with terms similar to those that the Cupertino boys handled for the launch of the first iPad version.

Another point that MacNotes.DE discards is that the iPad 2 would only be available during its launch in Apple stores, so authorized distributors in department stores and telephone operators would have to wait until receiving units of the tablet. The deadline that would be managed for this strategy, however, is still unknown at the moment.

As for developments in the field of performance for the iPad 2, it has been known that the suspicions that pointed to the improvements that the presence of the IPS Retina screen will bring about in the tablet are on the way to being fulfilled. We refer to the brutal resolution that the iPad 2 will present, since with a concentration of 326 dots per inch (as in the iPhone 4), the definition of the new model will multiply by four the image quality compared to the version that today we can see in stores. In total, there is already talk of a resolution of heart attack: 2,048 x 1,536 pixels.
