Learning is wise. Or from manufacturers that know how to make a gadget profitable by launching it every year with new functions that were left pending in the versions of previous years. In the case of Apple, you know about this for a while, and some of the features that were criticized for their absence in the iPad that were launched last spring and that we can admire in the 2011 edition are beginning to be known .
And it is that as we have been able to know through DigiTimes (where they echo the Chinese publication Economy Daily News), the iPad 2 will not forget some benefits that in this edition were left in the drawer of pending things. Among these, the presence of a front camera that will be compatible with the native system of video calls, Facetime, as well as the existence of a USB port with which to tap external memories is striking.
At the moment the resolution that the front camera of the iPad 2 will have with which Wi-Fi video calls can be made is unknown. Most likely, it ranges between 1.3 and two megapixels, although this point has not been fully ventured in the sites where this information is revealed.
What they have pointed out is that in addition to the camera and the USB port, the iPad 2 will have a three-axis gyroscope with which to improve the user experience when detecting movement. This feature could be aimed at further boosting the facets of the iPad that we will see from April 2011 in terms of video games or electronic newspaper readers.
They have also echoed in the Chinese newspaper a couple of points that we already told you about in Tuexpertomóvil. On the one hand, the clear improvement that the iPad 2 will have in terms of mobility, since it will be lighter and thinner, thanks to a new system in the design of its case.
And on the other, the presence of a new technology for its screen, heir to the experience of LG Display in the manufacture of the IPS Retina panel of the iPhone 4, with which the iPad 2 will have a much improved resolution.
