Where two fit, three fit. This is how Apple must have thought, that given the rumors that in April 2011 we would see a couple of editions of the iPad 2, a new rumor has left its offices, which would point to a third edition (in discord) to accompany the launch of your next tablet.
As with the first iPad, the one we know, the next version of Apple's tablet would differentiate between the different editions based on connectivity. Thus, the models that we would already know (the WCDMA, or 3G, and Wi-Fi) are joined by a specific one for the North American operator Verizon, as well as for Asian regions , such as China or India: the one equipped with a CDMA connection.
Let us remember that these connection systems would coexist in a couple of models that, although they are not confirmed, have even been able to manifest themselves in filtered images. So at least we have been able to verify it in a photograph that showed a Taiwanese celebrity holding what seems to be the iPad 2 in mini version, with a seven-inch screen, in the purest style of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
It has been the guys from DigiTimes who have echoed a third model with CDMA connectivity in the new iPad 2. On the same site, they refer to the possibility that from Cupertino they give the bell (never better said) also developing a fourth version, based on the LTE sensor.
The LTE connection is one of the candidates to be defined as 4G in transfer speed in mobile networks. In some parts of North America and Asia there are already operators with operating infrastructures in this system, which rivals the WiMax system in performance.
