What features are coming to your iPhone soon? Apple has announced iOS 13, the new version of the operating system that will arrive this fall on their mobiles. iOS 13 introduces dark mode, new applications and new settings and news. We tell you all the details, update date and compatible mobiles.
iOS 13 is now faster. We can open apps 2 times faster than in iOS 12 or unlock with Face ID 30 percent faster. Overall, a much faster experience when navigating the interface. The Apple keyboard is slightly modified and now allows gliding across the keys for faster typing.
Dark mode in iOS 13.
Dark mode is possibly the most anticipated (and also filtered) feature of iOS 13. iPhone users have been waiting for this mode for many years, especially with the arrival of the iPhone X and the OLED panel, since this technology turns off the black pixels in order to save autonomy. The dark mode is activated in the system settings and changes the theme to grayer tones and black backgrounds to provide a much more minimalist interface. All Apple apps support dark mode, with black backgrounds and darker colors.
In addition to dark mode, we also receive news in some of the most important iOS apps. For example, the Music app now allows you to view song lyrics. The Maps application also changes with new maps and a new interface navigation that is much more intuitive and easy to use.
The apple company has also thought about safety. They have added an option to know if an app or service is following our location more than once and if it does so in the background, when the app is closed. In addition, it adds new login options of its own and with the possibility of hiding our email address so that the service does not have our data.
What's new for Siri, Airpods and more
The Airpods receive news with iOS 13. Siri reads us notifications and we can respond directly, without having to say 'Hey Siri'. Another novelty is that we can share the audio of our device with the Airpods of our partner in a fast way, just by bringing the iPhone closer.
As for Siri, the 'Shortcuts' app will arrive by default on Apple terminals. Also, you have a more natural voice when it comes to responding. This is thanks to a software modification.
