Huawei is characterized by innovating and following trends as we have seen in its latest launches. And now a new discovery confirms that the company is working on a proposal for the new trend of “under screen” cameras.
While the notch was the boom last year, brands have wanted to get rid of any hint of the camera on the screen. And for them they have resorted to different solutions, for example, hiding the camera under the screen.
And apparently Huawei is also working on creating its own version of a hidden camera on the screen. This follows from a Huawei patent published by the German Patent and Trademark Office, as mentioned in GizChina and WinFuture.
Huawei under-screen camera focus
If we go through the illustrative images of the patent we will see a very interesting approach on how to integrate the camera without affecting the interface. The idea is that the area that the camera occupies does not interfere with the usual dynamics of the device.
As the images illustrate, the camera would not be in the center but on the side of the device, so it would not affect the distribution of the notification bar since it could continue to work with almost the same dynamics.
Although the camera would not go completely unnoticed, it would not affect the interface by removing surface that is useful for other system functions. And what is more important, it would not change the dynamics to which the user is used so the experience would be complete.
And this would apply whether Huawei offers one or two cameras. All this in theory, we will see if this patented system works correctly in practice. There are multiple elements to take into account since it is a fundamental area of the mobile that is combined with the work of different functions.
At the moment, it is an interesting proposal from Huawei that we hope will see the light soon.
