Huawei has just announced the Huawei Y6 2017, an affordable device with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This model is perfect for users who need a simple phone without too many complications. All this without dispensing with an elegant design. The new terminal offers a 5-inch screen, quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. Where something else stands out is in the photographic section. And, despite being a low-mid-range phone, it has a 13 megapixel main camera with dual-tone flash, capable of recording video with FullHD resolution. The device has been announced on the Huawei website in France. In any case, we do not know if it will be an international device or a renewal destined to remain in the French market.

Huawei returns to the load with the renewal of the Huawei Y6, a phone that has already been on the market for a long time and to which they have simply wanted to add the 2017 addition. And it is that, certainly, it enjoys benefits that we are seeing this year in other similar rivals. For starters, the new Huawei Y6 2017 offers a very nice design. It seems metallic on the back, although we do not know exactly the type of material that has been used. We do clearly appreciate slightly rounded edges and a fairly thin profile. To give you an idea, it has exact measurements of 143.8 x 72 x 8.45 millimeters and a weight of 150 grams.
Screen and power
The Huawei Y6 2017 has a 5-inch IPS LCD screen with HD resolution. That gives it a density of 294 pixels per inch. It is not that it is an exaggerated figure, but it will allow us to see multimedia content without problems. Inside the new equipment we find a MediaTek MT6737T quad-core Cortex A53 processor running at 1.4GHz. This chip is supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable through microSD-type cards).

Regarding the photographic section, the Huawei Y6 2017 has a 13 megapixel main camera with dual-tone flash, perfect for capturing photos in dark environments. This camera is capable, in turn, to record video with FullHD resolution and at 30 frames per second. For the front camera, the Asian has chosen a 5 megapixel sensor with an 84º lens. This will give our selfies an added incentive, since we will be able to take them with higher quality. Also, it is necessary to add that this secondary camera has an additional flash, something that is not usually very common in the low-mid range.
Other features
The new Huawei terminal also offers the usual connections for its range: 4G, WiFi 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. For its part, it is governed by Android 6.0 Marshmallow under EMUI 4.1 and also offers a 3,000 mAh battery. It is a non-removable battery without the possibility of fast charging. In any case, taking into account the characteristics of the phone, it will allow us to enjoy long hours of autonomy without problem.
Availability and price
At the moment it is a mystery when it will go on sale and at what price. Considering that the phone has been announced on the official website of the company in France, we are hopeful for an international launch.
