Following the brand's strategy in mid-range and low-range models, the launched model becomes a Huawei P Smart 2019 with some internal changes. Like the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition, this move gives it the ability to launch the phone with Google services. Unfortunately, the terminal still has Android 9 Pie under the EMUI 9 customization layer.

Design that inherits from the Huawei P Smart 2019
As a simple update to the 2019 model, the phone inherits the entire design of its namesake. Same dimensions, same weight and a 6.21-inch screen with a drop-shaped notch. The latter uses a panel with LCD technology, Full HD resolution and a 19.5: 9 ratio.
If we move to the rear, the appearance of the terminal differs slightly from the design of the 2019 model. The main difference lies in the camera module, which now becomes more prominent as it houses the two photographic sensors and the LED flash. The position of the fingerprint sensor, which is located in the center of the chassis, is maintained, a chassis that, by the way, is made of polycarbonate.
Hardware: Huawei's trick to rely on Google
As it did with the P30 Lite New Edition, the company has chosen to use a processor very similar to that of the previous iteration. We are talking about the Kirin 710F, a variant of the Kirin 710 geared towards gaming. The rest of the improvements are focused on RAM and storage: 4 and 128 GB. If we do memory, the original model had 3 and 64 GB of RAM and storage.
For the rest, the phone replicates the configuration of the 2019 model. Same 3,400 mAh battery, same micro USB charging port and same connectivity: WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS… All this allows it to have Google certification, although unfortunately we We find a somewhat outdated version of Android: Android 9 Pie.
No differences in the photographic section
The improvements of the Chinese manufacturer are limited to the technical section of the device. It is a fact, the phone has the same cameras as its predecessor. Two 13 and 2 mega-pixel cameras, the first with a focal aperture f / 1.8 and the second aimed at improving the depth of Portrait mode. The front sensor uses a resolution of 8 megapixels and a focal aperture f / 2.0. The good news is that it has facial unlocking through software.
Price and availability of the Huawei P Smart 2020
