It seems that commercial changes are coming within the lines of the Chinese brand Huawei. A new leak, yet to be confirmed by this company, has revealed that Huawei could abandon the Ascend brand in the next smartphones in this range. Therefore, the successor to the Huawei Ascend P7 would no longer be called the Huawei Ascend P8, but would simply be renamed the Huawei P8. This change would only affect the commercial name of these mobiles, and in principle would not entail any additional repercussions with respect to the future of smartphones in the Ascend range.
This information has been released from an Asian source revealed by the Dutch website DroidApp . And beyond these speculations, the truth is that this Dutch website reveals a detail that leaves no room for doubt: during CES 2015, the technological event that was held during this month of January, at the Huawei stand you could see a poster of the Huawei Ascend P7 with the name " Huawei P7 ", without the name " Ascend ". The same happened with the exhibition of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, which appeared under the name of " Huawei Mate 7 ".
So, assuming this information is true, Huawei's next flagship will likely be renamed the Huawei P8. And, according to leaks that have been so far, this new smart phone is presented with a metal casing, a screen of 5.2 inches with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution, a processor HISILICON Kirin 930 of eight cores, 3 gigabytes of memory RAM, 32 GigaBytes of internal storage (we do not know if it will be expandable) and a digital fingerprint scanner similar to the one that the Mate 7 incorporates.
In addition, according to this leak, Huawei will release more details about this change in the Ascend range at the next Mobile World Congress 2015. Presumably, in this technological event, which takes place during the month of March in the city of Barcelona (Spain), the new Huawei P8 will be officially presented and, at the same time, Huawei will take the opportunity to confirm this change. in your business strategy.
On the other hand, there is also the possibility that Huawei may present yet another smartphone at MWC 2015. Are talking about the Huawei D8, a smartphone of high range that could incorporate characteristics including a screen would include 5.5 inches with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, a processor HISILICON Kirin 950 powered by 64 - bit, four gigabytes of RAM and an internal storage capacity that could be around 64 GigaBytes. In addition, according to US sources, the starting price of this newHuawei D8 could be around 800 dollars (that is, about 700 euros at the current exchange rate).
