As for the screen of the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017, this model has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED panel (also with Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels). Therefore, the density of the screen of the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 remains exactly the same as that of its rival, at 424 dpi. Of course, one of the novelties of this terminal that the P10 Lite does not have, is that it has the "Always on Display" function. Thanks to it we can see the notifications and the clock without having to go around unlocking the device.

Camera
The two terminals that we compare belong to the so-called upper-middle range. This means that the photographic set of the two is going to be up to the task. In any case, as we will see, that of the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 is somewhat more ahead. The Huawei P10 Lite has a 12 megapixel main camera with a focal aperture of f / 2.2. We expect good photos, although we will have to see how it behaves when conducting more conclusive tests. Unlike their older brothers, the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus do not have the Leica seal.
The front camera is 8 megapixels of resolution and comes with a better focal aperture than the front one, f / 2.0. Both the main and front cameras manage to record videos in Full HD resolution.
The rear camera of the Huawei P10 Lite has 12 megapixels
The Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 integrates a 16 megapixel main camera with f / 1.9 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. The equipment is capable of recording videos with Full HD resolution. It is in the selfie camera where this model really stands out. The phone features the same 16-megapixel sensor and f / 1.9 aperture on the front as the one on the front. In our in-depth test we found that the camera performs at a good level, although an LED flash is missing for selfies. For the rest, we are not lying if we say that it is one of the most powerful front cameras of the moment.

Four of them running at 2.1 GHz and the other four running at 1.7 GHz. This chip is also accompanied by a 4 GB RAM memory and a 32 GB storage capacity (expandable by using microSD cards). It is certainly a powerful and fast mid-range. It will allow us without problems to use several processes or applications at the same time.

Conclusions and price
To conclude we can underline that although the Huawei P10 Lite is a somewhat more modern equipment, it has not influenced at all so that it cannot be compared with the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017, with a little more time on the market. The latter surpasses it in the photographic section or in small additional details, as is the case with water resistance. It will depend a lot on the user which one to choose at the time of purchase. But, both will perform, they have a nice metal design and a fairly good quality despite being positioned in the mid-range. The Huawei P10 Lite will soon hit the market at a price of 350 euros.
