Design and display
Both the Huawei P10 Lite and the Honor 9 Lite enter through the eyes. Both are elegant and constructed of metal. Of course, there are some differences that are important to highlight. The second one, the 9 Lite, is made of a nano-scale optical coated glass material. What does this mean? Basically, it gives an effect very similar to that of a mirror. In addition, its edges have been slightly rounded to offer a more comfortable experience when using it. Its frames are almost priceless. Another of its notable features is that it does not have a physical home button, very much in the style of higher-end mobiles like the Samsung Galaxy S8 +. On the other hand, it has a fingerprint reader on its back, which is also very clean and takes care of details.
But the main novelty of the Honor 9 Lite, and that greatly differentiates it from the Huawei P10 Lite, is that it has an infinite screen. This has a size of 5.65 inches and Full HD + resolution (2,160 x 1,080 pixels). At the design level, the Huawei P10 Lite wears a metallic casing, with rounded edges and a slim and stylish style. The company has employed a new diamond-cut construction method, which gives it greater strength. This team does not have an infinite screen and it is also somewhat smaller than the Honor 9 Lite and offers a lower resolution. Its panel is 5.2 inches Full HD.
Processor and memory
In performance, the Huawei P10 Lite and the Honor 9 Lite are very close. The first is powered by an eight-core Kirin 658 processor (four cores at 2.1 Ghz and the others at 1.7 Ghz), accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The second has a slightly higher SoC, a Kirin 659, eight cores (4 cores at 2.36 GHz + 4 cores at 1.7 GHz). Of course, the RAM in your case is 3 GB. In any case, we can say that both of them are able to work seamlessly with trendy applications and games, or move several processes at the same time. Regarding the storage capacity, both have 32 GB of space, expandable through the use of microSD cards.
Camera
It is in this section where we find the main difference between the Huawei P10 Lite and the Honor 9 Lite. Reason enough for some users to favor the latter. And it is that the 9 Lite arrives with four cameras. Two in the main part of 13 and 2 megapixels and two others with the same resolution on the front. Most importantly, the front camera is also capable of capturing photos with the famous bokeh effect. In addition, it offers a large aperture of f / 2.0.
The Huawei P10 Lite equips a 12 megapixel main sensor with flash. In its defense we will say that it has pixels of size 1.25 microns. The objective of this is to capture a greater amount of information for each pixel, so photos with more detail and definition are achieved. For its part, the secondary camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels and is capable of recording video in Full HD.
Operating system and connections
The Huawei P10 Lite arrives governed as standard by Android 7.0 Nougat along with the EMUI 5.1 customization layer. Although it seems to be a candidate to receive the Android 8.0 update, the truth is that today we still know the exact date it will be available. The Honor 9 Lite does have this new version as standard, which goes hand in hand with EMUI 8.0. Therefore, if you are looking for a phone that already has Oreo, we recommend that you better rest for this latest model. When it comes to connections, the two are very on par. They have NFC, WiFi, 4.5 G, Bluetooth 4.2 or GPS.
Drums
Currently, it is no longer just that the battery has a capacity that allows it to endure more than one day without problems. We also want the device to include fast charging. It is a function that gives you the ability to charge more than half in a few minutes, and that is available on the Huawei P10 Lite. No, instead, on Honor's mobile. In this way, we find that the P10 Lite has a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging. The Honor 9 Lite is 3,750 mAh without fast charging. It is slightly higher, but unfortunately the company has chosen not to include this feature. Of course, it is available in the standard version: Honor 9.

As of today, the Honor 9 Lite is available on the company's official website at a price of 229 euros. Not bad at all if we consider that the device comes with the latest features. Four cameras, infinite screen and a very peculiar mirror effect design. The Huawei P10 Lite can be purchased in stores like Media Markt for 240 euros. It's down a lot in recent months, and hopefully it will do a little more when the company announces the next generation. This is expected to happen in March, a few weeks after the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
