Yesterday Huawei presented its new flagships in style. The Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design became a reality. However, the company had another model ready that was not discussed in Munich. Although it was presented a few days ago in the Chinese market, we did not know anything about its arrival in the old continent. Today it is confirmed that the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will soon be available in Europe.
And be careful because it looks very interesting. We are facing a terminal with a 5.9-inch screen of large resolution and 18: 9 format. Inside we will have a powerful chip, although one step below the Kirin 970 of its older brothers. However, it will come well accompanied by a good amount of RAM. But perhaps the most striking thing is that we will have 4 cameras, two in the back and two in the front. The Huawei Mate 10 Lite will arrive in Europe next November with a price of 350 euros. 18: 9 screen almost frameless
As we said, a few days ago its launch for the Chinese market was announced. We were not clear if it was going to reach Europe. However, Huawei has given us a surprise and has announced the launch of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite in the German market. This makes us think that it will soon reach the rest of Europe.
As the name implies, it is a "trimmed" version of the Huawei Mate 10. Still, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite is likely to be much more attractive to most users. Despite reducing its price, it retains some of the best features of its older brother.
As you can see in the image, the design of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite is very similar to the normal model, but not identical. In this case the company has decided to move the fingerprint reader to the rear. This is located just below the camera lenses.
As is usual with Lite models, the screen is reduced in size. Huawei Mate 10 Lite has a panel 5.9 inches with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. In addition, it retains the 18: 9 aspect ratio, which allows you to have a layout with very small frames. The full dimensions of the Mate 10 Lite are 156.2 x 75.2 x 7.5 millimeters.
And speaking of the lenses, they stick out of the case slightly. For the rest, we have a completely smooth metal back, where only the lines of the antennas stand out.
Four cameras
One of the characteristics that most attract the attention of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite is its photographic section. And this terminal does not have two or three cameras, it has no less than four cameras.
At the rear it includes a dual chamber system consisting of a 16 megapixel sensor and an auxiliary sensor 2 megapixel. As you can imagine, the second sensor is used to achieve the bokeh effect that users are currently looking for.
We have a similar system in the front of the mobile. The front camera of the Huawei Mate Lite 10 is formed by a sensor of 13 megapixels plus another 2 - megapixel sensor. These work together to achieve selfies with the aforementioned blur effect.
As for the video, it seems that the main camera will be able to record video with 1080p resolution at 30fps. At the moment we are not aware that it is compatible with 4K video.
Lowered technical set
It is also very common in Lite models to see a less powerful processor and a reduction in the amount of memory. This has been the case in the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which does not mean that we have a bad technical set. The processor chosen is a Kirin 659, which is two steps below the Kirin 970 and lacks the latter's artificial intelligence chip.
Accompanying the processor, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The battery is 3,340 milliamps, a more than acceptable figure.
What we can confront Huawei in this terminal is the choice of the operating system. And the Huawei Mate 10 Lite arrives with Android 7.0 Nougat, leaving Android 8.0 for its more expensive brothers. However, we hope that in a few months you will receive the update.
Price and availability
In short, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite becomes a very interesting mobile for the mid-range. For a much lower price than its older brothers, we will have the screen without frames, four cameras and a technical team more than enough for most.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite will arrive next November, at least in the German market. We hope that it will soon reach the rest of Europe. Its official price is 350 euros. It will be available in three colors: black, gold and a nice blue.
