Honor is Huawei's second brand. The Honor line of the Chinese company is characterized by having smartphones with a very content price but with features of the premium range. The latest device from the company that has arrived in Spain is the Honor 5X. It is a terminal that for 230 euros offers a metal body, a fingerprint sensor and a 5.5-inch screen. Let's review its characteristics.
The Honor 5X follows the design line established by the manufacturer with the Honor 7. The new Honor terminal sports a metallic design with rounded edges and a curved back. On the back, just below the camera, it incorporates a fingerprint reader. According to Huawei, the design of the Honor 5X is inspired by the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. Honor's new affordable terminal is available in three colors: silver, gray and gold.
In addition to a metallic design, the Honor 5X offers a screen with a 5.5-inch IPS panel and Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) . It should be noted that other terminals in the same price range have been stuck at 720p resolution for their screens. On the other hand, Huawei ensures that the panel of the Honor 5X features dynamic contrast adjustment pixel by pixel that is able to eliminate reflections.
The chipset chosen to move this terminal is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616, which is composed of an 8-core Cortex-A53 1.7 GHz processor and an Adreno 405 graphics processor. This set is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity remains at 16 GB, but the terminal incorporates a microSD card slot. The maximum capacity of the microSD card is 128 GB.
The Honor 5X incorporates a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and f / 2.0 aperture. The front camera is 5 megapixels, with f / 2.4 aperture and a 22 mm wide angle. With this data, the overall performance of the camera should be good. However, low light situations can be troublesome. The reason is that it does not incorporate an optical image stabilizer, something reserved only for high-end terminals. At the software level, the Honor 5X has all Huawei's camera functions, including the ability to record videos in slow motion.

The Huawei Honor 5X includes a dual SIM slot that allows you to carry a nano SIM and a micro SIM at the same time, something that is not seen in many terminals. The operating system chosen to move all this hardware is Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is accompanied by Huawei's EMUI 3.1 customization skin. Something to highlight at the software level is that Huawei uses the fingerprint sensor for more than just to unlock the terminal.
