While Honor works on a new range of mid-range smartphones (the availability of the Honor 7 in Europe is just around the corner, and rumors have recently appeared about a new Honor 4A), the Asian company Huawei does not want to be left behind either.. With still a few weeks to go before the presentation of the new Mate 8, a certification has revealed that Huawei is working on a new smartphone with mid-range features that will respond to the name of Huawei G8.
Featuring a metal casing, this new Huawei mobile could hit the market in the coming months to succeed the Huawei Ascend G7. As revealed certification of Asian origin which has echoed the website AndroidHeadlines.com, the new G8 of Huawei appears to have a relatively similar design to that of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. That includes a metal casing, a fingerprint reader located on the back and a screen with small side frames, all in a somewhat simpler design that reveals that the Huawei G8 It could be a mobile oriented to compete in the market with a very adjusted price.
This certification does not mention the technical specifications of the new Huawei G8, nor can we confirm that this smartphone will reach the European market. Huawei has certified this same mobile under two different versions ( CL00 and AL00 ), so our only hope lies in thinking that one of them is oriented to Europe.
But, assuming that the Huawei G8 will come to succeed the Ascend G7, what technical specifications can we expect from this new mobile? The Ascend G7 of Huawei landed on the European market with a price that was about 300 euros, and its features included a screen 5.5 inches with 1.280 x 720 pixel resolution, a processor Snapdragon 410, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 16 GigaBytes of internal memory (expandable via microSD up to 32 GigaBytes), a main camera of13 megapixel camera, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a battery with 3000 mAh capacity.
If the rumors are correct, 2015 may be a good year for Huawei. In addition to the new Mate 8 (which will succeed the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, the company's current phablet ), Huawei is also expected to be in charge of manufacturing the highest-end version of Google's new Nexus. This new Nexus 6 (2015) would be presented in the final stretch of the year, and it would be the first smartphone to incorporate Android M as standard, the most recent of all versions of the Android operating system.
For now, if we want to know the smartphones that will hit the market under the Huawei logo, we will have to wait until the IFA 2015 technology event (September).
