It is not the first time that we see the Huawei G8 come out on the scene. The new smartphone from Huawei and was introduced last July, but the truth is that then we had the chance to meet their specification sheet. Today we learned that the brand new device has been released in order to satisfy a mid-range of users. It has a 5.5-inch screen, but it works through a rather discreet processor: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615. The photographic camera reaches 13 megapixels, so it's not bad for a moderately equipped device. Next, we are going to take a look at its characteristics.

Design and display

The design of this Huawei G8 is one of the characteristics that attracts the most attention. Not surprisingly, it is entirely covered with metallic materials, which allows us to enjoy a robust and elegant phone, proof of constant daily use. But this is not all. The equipment is very well made to be very pleasant to the touch, with rounded corners that fit perfectly. However, the result is a phone with dimensions of 152 x 76.5 x 7.5 mm and a weight of 167 grams, including battery.

The screen is, logically, another of its star elements. We are before a panel of 5.5 inches, prepared with a FullHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This means that the team ends up enjoying a density of 401 dots per inch and a clear and colorful visual experience.

Camera and multimedia

The camera will offer a good experience to the users. Includes a sensor 13 megapixel with an objective of sapphire and dual LED flash, essential when capturing images in low - light or night. This makes the phone work smoothly, both when running simple applications such as video games with a high graphic load.

Regarding the storage capacity, you should know that the Huawei G8 is available in two different versions. The first offers 32 GB of memory, but the second, only 16 GB. Luckily, this capacity can be expanded whenever we need it through external microSD cards of up to 64 GB.

Operating system and applications

Like practically all Huawei equipment, this Huawei G8 comes standard with the Android operating system in its version 5.1 Lollipop. This is one of the latest versions launched Google for phones of this platform, prepared with the latest security updates and other improvements in the section on notifications. As if this were not enough, users can enjoy a special interface, designed by Huawei, which is known by the name of EMUI. The development of it has been carried out within Huawei. In this case, we are facing version 3.1. Many themes, wallpapers, and icons are included, as well as applications and various tools for managing your computer.

In addition, as a good terminal with Android, this Huawei G8 includes the main apps that give access to services pre-installed as standard. We refer, for example, to Google Search, Google Maps, Hangouts, YouTube or Google Drive. You can also connect to the Google Play Store to download new apps and video games.

Connectivity

The Huawei G8 is a well-prepared phone in the field of connectivity. It is compatible with 4G / LTE networks, but also with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS wireless networks, a very important tool if we want to launch a large number of applications that need it or simply use the equipment as if it were a dedicated GPS navigator.. It should be noted, on the other hand, that in the physical field the Huawei G8 stands out for having a microUSB 2.0 input and a double slot for SIM cards.

At this point, we must mention the incorporation of a fingerprint sensor that will be great for us to identify ourselves safely and launch certain specific functions. It is located at the rear and works through Finger Sense 2.0 technology. In this way, you can make sure that it is only you who unlocks the phone and that you make purchases completely secure from the device.

Autonomy and availability

The Huawei G8 is a phone equipped with a lithium-ion battery, whose capacity is 3,000 milliamps. The firm has not offered information about the autonomy that this equipment can offer, but everything suggests that taking into account the characteristics and capacity of this battery, the duration should be at least one day at full capacity. We may be able to use it without charging for 24 hours.

The Huawei G8 will hit the markets from this September. We will find it in three different colors: dark silver, white and gold. It is offered in different storage capacities, but so far we have only known the price of the 32 GB version with 3 GB of RAM: 400 euros in the free market.
