HTC has unveiled its new high-end for this year. With him he will try to compete with some of the heavyweights in the sector, if they allow him this time. The device, which has been dubbed HTC U12 +, has a series of very current features. For starters, it has a 6-inch infinity panel and a dual 8-megapixel front camera, one of its main claims. The new model is also powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and offers a 3,420 mAh battery with fast charging.

Notchless design with widescreen display
The new HTC U12 + arrives with a design very similar to that of its predecessor. Its back is made of glass and has a translucent effect. It is what they call "Liquid Surface". The frames are aluminum, a note that gives it a classy appearance. The screen of the new equipment has a size of 6 inches and has Super LCD 6 technology, DCI-P3 support and HDR10. All of these features promise to improve quality, something that will have to be verified in more extensive tests.
Inside the HTC U12 + there is room for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6 GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 64 GB (expandable by microSD type cards). Regarding the photographic section, the device has a double sensor, both in the main part and in the front. On the back we find two with a resolution of 12 and 16 megapixels. The secondary camera has two 8-megapixel sensors with f / 2.0 aperture.
As for the rest of the features, the U12 + comes with Android 8 and the Edge Sense 2 system, which allows you to get more out of the phone by performing certain actions quickly thanks to the programming of shortcuts. It also equips a 3,420 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and HTC BoomSound speakers. It should also be added that it is completely resistant to water and dust, since it is IP68 certified. Of course, it does not have a fingerprint reader. Failing that, the security section will be more than complete with facial recognition located on the front camera.
Price and availability
The HTC U12 + will hit the market in mid-June in three colors to choose from: gold, black and blue. As the company has commented, the device will be available in a single version with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage at a price of 800 euros. It is a price that is very on par with other current competitors that offer similar characteristics. We will be pending to see if the operators in our country offer it cheaper, both free and subject to any of their contracts.
