The Taiwanese company HTC has started to star in recent weeks in numerous rumors that speak of different alternative editions of the HTC One M8 presented a few months ago. The last of these rumors has let us know that HTC could be working on three different versions of the HTC One M8: HTC One M8 Ace (a compact version with a plastic casing), HTC One M8 Plus (a version with a very high resolution screen) and HTC One M8 Advance (another version with a plastic casing that would be destined for the Asian market). And let's not forget the recently introduced HTC One mini 2.
It seems that throughout this year we will not forget the HTC One M8 at any time. The Taiwanese firm seems to have focused on diversifying as much as possible the market for its flagship, and that is why so many different versions are appearing. If we analyze each of them well, we will see that below the HTC One M8 we would have the HTC One M8 Ace and the HTC One mini 2, while in an even higher range we would find the HTC One M8 Plus.
Regarding the technical specifications of all these terminals, the little information that is known in relation to the HTC One M8 Plus (the highest-end version) reveals that we could be talking about a mobile that would incorporate a 5.5-inch screen with QHD resolution (ie, probably 2,560 x 1,440 pixels). Inside we would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor whose clock speed has not been specified. And we would also find a very important detail: the HTC One M8 Plus would be water resistant.
It also seems that in the case of the HTC One M8 Plus, the famous dual-camera that we could see in the HTC One M8 would remain, although we do not know the exact number of megapixels that we would find in this case (in fact, there are still doubts regarding whether the technology will remain UltraPixel).
Information regarding the HTC One M8 Advance is much more limited. Rumors indicate that it will be a version that will maintain practically all the technical specifications of the HTC One M8 with the difference that the housing will be made of plastic. In principle, it would be a mobile intended only for the Asian market, and its official presentation could take place during the first days of September.
We will still have to wait a few months for HTC to begin to confirm and deny all the information that is appearing in relation to the alternative versions of the HTC One M8. For the consumer, the truth is that the Taiwanese manufacturer should hurry to detail all this information since they may be generating enough doubts among users who are considering the possibility of buying the brand's flagship.
