All the major brands in the mobile phone market have new features prepared for this year that go beyond the highest-end flagships. In the case of the Taiwanese HTC, it seems that one of the mid-range novelties of this company will reside in a new mobile that will respond to the name of HTC One M8i. The HTC One M8i will hit the market throughout this year 2015, and a leak has revealed some of its possible technical specifications.
The first thing we should know about the leak that has become known about the supposed HTC One M8i is that there is no data in relation to the size of the screen, but we can get the idea that we are talking about a mobile that will probably incorporate a screen between 4.5 and 5.5 inches.
What is mentioned are the features that will give life to this supposed HTC One M8i. This smartphone will be powered by a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 with eight cores (present today in phones like the recently introduced ZTE Blade S6 or HTC Desire 820). This processor will be made up of eight Cortex-A53-type cores, and its operation will be divided into two blocks: four cores running at a clock speed of 1.7 GHz and another four cores running at a clock speed of 1 GHz.
This filtration, released by the user upleaks of Twitter ( @upleaks ), does not mention any other feature on the HTC One M8i beyond its numerical name (the name that HTC used for the development of this terminal) responds to the name of M8_QL. The presentation of this new HTC One M8i could be scheduled for after the presentation of the new HTC One M9, so there is a possibility that we will have to wait beyond MWC 2015 (March 2-5) to know the details of the new mid-range mobile from HTC.
But on the other hand, the HTC One M8i will not be the only mid-range smartphone that HTC is preparing for the coming months. The recently leaked HTC Desire 626 apparently incorporate a screen five inches with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, a processor MediaTek of eight cores running at 1.7 GHz with 2 gigabytes of RAM in a variant and another variant with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 of four cores running at 1.2 GHz with 1 GigaByte of RAM, 16 gigabytes of internal storage, a main camera of 13 megapixels, a front camera of five megapixels, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a battery with 2,000 mAh capacity.
In any case, HTC will hold a presentation on March 1 on the occasion of MWC 2015. In this presentation, at least one new smartphone from this brand will be unveiled, and it is expected that one of the candidates to be revealed during the HTC event will be the new HTC One M9.
