HTC has officially announced the Desire 830, a sporty-looking mid-range device with a large 5.5-inch screen. For now, the new HTC Desire 830 will see the light in the Chinese market for a price of 270 euros, a fairly tight value if we take into account its main features: MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 3 GB RAM, 13 megapixel main camera 2,800 mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Sense UI.
Although we already knew its technical sheet and its appearance by heart, a few hours ago HTC made the Desire 830 official, a full-fledged phablet thanks to its 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution . Its casual and sporty appearance shows us that we are ahead of a mid-range that can compete without problems with other similar rivals on the market. It is made of polycarbonate and comes in white with soft lines surrounding its profile in various striking colors (blue or orange). Its weight is set at 156 grams and it is 7.79 millimeters thick.
Inside this new HTC Desire 830 we will find a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, a chip that operates at a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz in its eight cores (with Cortex-A57 architecture) and a PowerVR G6200 GPU. The RAM memory has been set at 3 GB, a figure that will allow it to perform without problems, either when using applications with heavy graphics or performing several processes simultaneously. For its part, the Desire 830 has an internal storage capacity of 32 GB, expandable when required by using MicroSD- type cards.
Regarding the photographic section, the new HTC Desire 830 is not going to leave us indifferent, as long as we do not forget that we are facing a mid-range. The device equips a 13 megapixel f / 2.0 main camera with optical image stabilizer. The secondary camera mounts a 4 megapixel f / 2.0 UltraPixel sensor. Another advantage of this new device is that it is governed by Android 6.0, a version that has added important improvements, such as the new smart function to save Doze battery, the Google Now On tap assistant, or individual permission for applications. For its part, the Desire 830 is also compatible with LTE networksand it has two front speakers with BoomSound technology , which will offer a cleaner sound when watching videos or listening to songs without headphones.
At the moment we do not know when this new HTC device will go on sale in Europe. At first it will land in Taiwan at a price of 270 euros. It will do so from May 6, that is, next Friday. It would be lucky to see it in Spain, especially for those who are looking for a cheap mobile, with a fun design, Android operating system and competent features.
