The Taiwanese company HTC has not walked with any hints regarding its attendance at MWC 2015, the technological event that is held during the month of March in the city of Barcelona (Spain). Through a message published on its official Twitter account ( @HTC_UK ), HTC has confirmed that on March 1 it will present a new smartphone from the One range. And although there is no reference to a specific mobile model, there is no doubt that we are talking about the new HTC One M9.
Precisely, this week it has also been practically confirmed through a leak that the new high-end smartphone from HTC will respond to the name of HTC One M9. In recent months it had been rumored that this smartphone, the successor to the current HTC One M8, could respond to the name of HTC Hima. On the other hand, this leak does not refer to the final name of what we currently know as the HTC One M9 Plus, a slightly larger version of the next HTC flagship that is also expected to be presented during MWC 2015.
The technical specifications of the HTC One M9 that are currently known also have their origin in the leaks. These leaks mentioned that the next smartphone reference HTC incorporate a screen five inches with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution (reaching a pixel density in set screen at 441 ppi), a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with technology 64bit, 3 gigabytes of RAM (type DDR4), a main chamber 20 megapixels (without technology Ultrapixel, that is, with a single sensor) and a battery with a capacity of 2,840 mAh.
The design of this smartphone is expected, in principle, to consist of a metal casing made from a single piece (which means that the battery will not be removable). Although, for now, the only visual references we have of this mobile correspond to conceptual designs. Therefore, to this day there is no definitive clue about the design of this smartphone.
But beyond the HTC One M9, one of HTC's surprises during MWC 2015 seems to lie in the presentation of a new wrist accessory. We are talking about the HTC Petra, a device that seems to correspond to the category of smart bracelets aimed at monitoring the user's physical activity at the same time that they allow to know the incoming notifications on the mobile. Rumors suggest the HTC Petra incorporate a flexible display of 1.8 inches with 160 x 32 pixel resolution, a processor ST Micro STM32L151, connectivityBluetooth and GPS, a battery with a battery life of up to three days and compatibility with both smartphones with OS Android (Android 4.4 KitKat or later) devices as Apple (iOS 7.0 or higher).
