The Huawei sub-brand would be about to add another member to its catalog. It would be the Honor V8, a device that would incorporate high-end features, including a double camera on the back. Although there is no evidence of its design, in the last hours a new advertising image would have appeared in which the name of the device would be shown in a somewhat particular way, throwing up some clues. Specifically, number eight would suggest the existence of that dual camera that we are talking about and how fashionable it is becoming in leading mobile phones.
This same publicity image would also have revealed the date of presentation of the device. The new Honor V8 would be announced on May 10, that is, in a few weeks. As for its main characteristics, in recent days some of its possible specifications have been leaked. The new phone, which would have a 5.5-inch Full HD screen (1920 x 1080 pixels), is expected with a design very similar to that of the Honor 7, which means that it would be a unibody model with metallic finishes.
Regarding the processor, according to the latest leaks, the Honor V8 would arrive powered by a Kirin 950, the same one that we find in the Huawei Mate 8. It is one of the most powerful chips that there is today, with a speed 2.3 GHz in four of its cores and 1.8 GHz in its remaining four cores. This SoC would be supported by a 4 GB RAM, so we would be talking about a very interesting set to move heavy applications or make use of several simultaneous processes.
On the photographic section, everything indicates that we will see a 12 megapixel double lens camera, very similar, therefore, to the one we have seen in the Huawei P9, presented a few weeks ago. Recall that this device incorporates two sensors 12 megapixels each with f / 2.2 and 27 mm focal length. The pixels of each sensor have a size of 1.25 um, which is equivalent to 1.76 um dots, that is, they are larger than those of most that we see in the cameras of their rivals. According to the manufacturer, the results are images twice as bright with an improvement in contrast of 50 percent.
As for the rest of the features, everything indicates that the new Honor V8 would have the new USB type C port , which would allow faster uploads and transfer of files. In addition, it would equip a 3,000 mAh battery, which should give autonomy for a whole day. As we say, the presentation date of the Honor V8 is scheduled for May 10. The price that is being considered is about 20,000 yuan, which at the exchange rate would be equivalent to approximately 300 euros, a really low value considering the characteristics that the new phablet would have.
