Honor magic 2, sliding screen and four cameras

The Honor Magic 2 is already official, Honor has presented it a few hours ago. Although we know the terminal thanks to all the leaks we have had over the last month, it is always good to fully reveal the doubts about the terminal of the Asian firm. This terminal is striking, but not novel, its design is all screen thanks to the sliding mechanism that allows you to hide the front camera.

Honor has put all the meat on the grill with the Honor Magic 2, this terminal is a bet in design and specifications. Broadly speaking, we have a powerful processor, the same one that the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro carry. We also have four cameras, three of them on the back and one on the front. Sliding design for Honor Magic 2

The design of the Honor Magic 2 is not new and it is not surprising. This is for two reasons, the first is because we have been seeing it for a month before it was official and the second is because there are already sliding mobiles on the market. But these two reasons do not detract from the design of the Honor Magic 2. We find a premium terminal in materials since it is built in metal and glass. Its front is entirely a screen where we will not find a notch or notch, its rear reminds us of its first cousin the Huawei P20 Pro.

The sliding system of the Honor Magic 2 reminds us of that of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. A manual sliding system with which we can hide or reveal the front camera. We said before that on its front we find nothing but screen and this is so thanks to the fact that they have managed to integrate the fingerprint reader under it. If we talk about its screen we have to talk about a 6.39-inch panel with Full HD + resolution and AMOLED technology for the panel, the screen format is 18: 9 so it is more elongated than wide.

In general, the Honor Magic 2 is an attractive terminal to look at. We find a design in which the front is used to the maximum and thanks to this we have a 90% screen on its front. In addition, being built in premium materials offers resistance to scratches and falls, although having a mobile part it would be necessary to see how this part supports day-to-day use. The Honor terminal will be available in three colors: pink, black and blue.

Honor Magic 2 power and autonomy

Huawei and Honor are sister companies, this shows when we see the specifications of the terminals. The Honor Magic 2 mounts a Kirin processor, the Kirin 980 manufactured in seven nanometers and which is accompanied by a Network Processing Unit or double NPU, so it is assumed that it will convert the smartphone to the most smartphone as it is used. Along with this processor we have 6 or 8 GB of RAM depending on the version we choose, as well as its storage, where we have to choose between 128GB or 256GB, storage that is not expandable.

The Honor Magic 2's battery is 3400 mAh, which can give a day or a day and a half of autonomy depending on the use of each person. The interesting thing about its autonomy is its charging system, the Honor Magic 2 has a faster charging system than any other manufacturer. This in data means that the battery can be charged up to 85% in just 30 minutes, it is achieved thanks to the fact that it can offer a power of 40W as long as it is connected to the original charger that has an output of 10 volts and 4 amps.

Four cameras for different situations

If some people questioned the virtue of having two rear cameras a few years ago, today you must be thinking that manufacturers have gone crazy. In the Honor Magic 2 we have three cameras on the back and a front camera hidden in the sliding part. The rear cameras have different functionalities, we have an optical zoom, a wide angle and a normal sensor.

The rear camera setup is 16 megapixels for the main sensor, 24 megapixels for the secondary, and the third 16 megapixels. In addition to their focal lengths and angles, these sensors will be enhanced or will receive the help of Artificial Intelligence. According to Honor, this will ensure that we have better photographs both in detail and in color thanks to the automatic detection of the type of scene.

In the sliding part we find the front camera, a 16 megapixel sensor with a greater angle than normal so that more people enter the photograph. In addition, it has different sensors that allow the Honor Magic 2 to offer 3D facial unlocking. So we have two types of security on the Honor Magic 2.

Honor Magic 2, price and availability

The Honor Magic 2 will be available to buy on November 1 from the Honor website, shipping will begin on November 6. Prices vary depending on the version we choose. 480 euros for version 6/128; 543 euros for the 8/128 version and 607 euros for the 8/246 euros version. They are prices converted from China, we do not have official prices or confirmation of whether it will reach the Spanish market.
