Honor launches the latest mobile that could come with google services

Huawei has a brand of cheap mobile phones, Honor, this firm is dedicated to launching models similar to those announced by Huawei, but with some features that lower the price of the terminal. The new Honor View 30 is a kind of Mate 30: it has a triple camera setup on its rear, a dual sensor for selfies and supports 5G networks. In addition, it could be the last Honor mobile to bequeath with Google services and all apps. We tell you all the details.

The US veto on Huawei also applies to Honor, as it is a brand that operates under the Chinese company. They use the same factories, processors and services. The conflict means that US companies cannot collaborate with Huawei and vice versa, which means that Google cannot implement its services in the company's terminals. Yes Android, as long as it is the open source version. This Honor View 30 has been announced in the midst of all the conflict, and a priori it does not arrive with the applications of the great G. Yes with Android 10, the latest version (open source) and Magic UI 3.0, the name given to the layer customization on Honor phones, and which is practically identical to EMUI 10. The replacement for Google Play Services is Huawei Mobile Services, an alternative in the form of their own apps that replace (or so try) the main Google applications. For example, App Gallery for Google Play, or Huawei Wallet for Google Pay, the payment platform.

The United States recently approved a Microsoft license that allowed the Chinese company to continue using Windows as the operating system for its computers. Bloomerg revealed that the US could also give a license to Google. This is still in development and there is no news, but considering that the Windows one has been approved, we could have good news soon. Huawei has already said that applying the GMS to the company's terminals would take as long as a system update takes. If the license is approved the View 30 could be one of the first to arrive with Google Services, since it is the most recent model.

The Honor View 30 camera

Although Google and its applications are an important part of a mobile, the truth is that this View 30 has very interesting features, starting with the photographic device. Honor has wanted to add a triple camera of up to 48 megapixels. The company calls it 'Matrix Camera' because it combines artificial intelligence and neural processing unit to achieve better results. The 48 megapixel main lens has a RYYB sensor, which unlike RGB, allows more light and color to be captured in the photograph.To this we add a very high ISO to get bright photos even in dark scenes. It is accompanied by a second 8 megapixel ultra wide angle camera, with an angle of 109 degrees. Also a third 8 megapixel telephoto sensor for zoom. The selfie camera is dual, with a resolution of 32 and 8 megapixels. This configuration will allow us to take photographs in wide angle and with portrait mode. The camera is located below the screen.

In terms of technical specifications, the View 30 features a Kirin 990 chip, the latest from the company. They are accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM (depending on the model) and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The screen is 6.57 inches, with an IPS panel and Full HD + resolution. In addition, it has a range of 4,200 mAh that also has fast charging.

Honor view 30 Pro

Honor has also announced a Pro version for the View 30. This variant is very similar to the View 30, but with more RAM memory, a smaller battery but with wireless charging, and a lower thickness and weight. Otherwise, including the processor model or the configuration of the cameras, it is exactly the same. In addition, it has the same design: a camera located in the left area, in a glass rear, aluminum frames with a fingerprint reader on the side and a screen without frames, but with a perforated camera.

Price and availability

These terminals have been announced in China, and at the moment we do not know when they will arrive in Spain. These are the different prices to change.
