As planned, Honor has unveiled new terminals for the mid-range. We refer to the Honor 9X and 9X Pro, ready to compete in an increasingly saturated market. They will have it simple. The devices arrive with a balanced feature set and a budget-friendly price. Both are very similar at the design level. They have a main screen, without notch or perforation and hardly any frames. The front camera is housed in the upper part and is retractable, it only comes out when we need to take a selfie.
If we turn it around if we see differences. The Honor 9X includes a double sensor and the 9X Pro a triple sensor. And it is not the only characteristic that distinguishes them. Although both coincide in processor, a Kirin 810, the Honor 9X Pro has 8 GB of RAM instead of 4 or 6 GB and more storage: 256 GB. For now, the new devices have been put on sale in China, where they sell from 180 and 280 euros at the exchange rate, respectively.

Both the Honor 9X and the 9X Pro boast a glass design without notch or perforation. Its frames are quite small, which saves space on the screen. In your case, the selfie camera is retractable and is hidden at the top. The screen size is the same on both models. Both feature a 6.59-inch IPS LCD panel, FullHD + resolution, and 19.5: 9 aspect ratio (391 dpi).
Inside the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro there is room for a HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor from the house, an eight-core SoC (two running at 2.27 GHz + six working at 1.88 GHz). This is accompanied by 4 or 6 GB of RAM in the case of the Honor 9X and 8 GB of RAM in the 9X Pro. For storage we have 64 or 128 GB within the standard model, a space that goes up to 256 GB in the top version.
Regarding the photographic section, the 9X includes a 48 megapixel dual sensor with f / 1.8 + 2 megapixel aperture for bokeh photos. On the back of the Honor 9X Pro we find a triple sensor made up of a 48-megapixel main sensor and f / 1.8 focal aperture, accompanied by a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 2-megapixel 3D depth sensor. For selfies, the two teams include a single 16-megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 aperture, which, as we say, is hidden at the top and is retractable.
For the rest, the new Honor phones also have a 4,000 mAh battery with 22W fast charge and are governed by Android 9 Pie under the Huawei EMUI 9.1.1 customization layer.
Price and availability
At the moment , the Honor 9X and 9X Pro have been put on sale only in their native country, China. It is not known if they will reach other territories. These are the prices according to models and versions.
