Huawei's sub-brand, Honor, is characterized by taking great care of its mid-range and entry phones. A few hours ago, a new model of affordable benefits was unveiled in Russia , and we do not know if it will end up landing in other territories, at least under this name. The new Honor 8S comes to satisfy a young audience, who is not willing to spend too much for a mobile, but who does not want to do without certain current features or design. In addition, it does it to rival the Xiaomi Redmi 7, released a few weeks ago.
In fact, at first glance the Honor 8S does not go unnoticed thanks to a main panel, with hardly any frames on both sides, and with a notch in the shape of a drop of water. The screen has a size of 5.71 inches and HD + resolution. According to the company, the screen-to-body ratio is 84%, the same as many higher-end phones. If you look at its back or front, the Honor 8S does not have a fingerprint reader. However, this feature is supplemented by the integrated facial recognition system, perfect for ensuring security and privacy.
Inside the new model there is room for a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 32 GB. It is a discreet set, which will help us to use simple applications without problem, such as WhatsApp or Instagram. As for the photographic section, the Honor 8S includes a single 13-megapixel main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, and a secondary sensor (located in the notch) with a 5-megapixel resolution for selfies.
The rest of the features are completed by a 3,020 mAh battery and Android 9.0 Pie system, the latest version of Google's mobile platform. This device has been unveiled by Honor on its Russian website. At the moment, it will only go on sale in this country at an exchange rate of 120 euros. We do not know at the moment if the company intends to launch it outside this territory under this name or any other. We will be very attentive to give you all the information as appropriate.
