The Honor 8 is one of the most successful terminals of the second Huawei brand. And it is not surprising, since it offers a beautiful design with high-end features at a price lower than the top on the market. Taking this into account, it was logical that sooner or later Honor would launch a trimmed version of its flagship. And so it has happened. The Honor 8 Lite has appeared in some photos in high definition, where we can see its design. But not only that, we also know what features it will have. Let's review what the Honor 8 Lite can offer us.
Sober design
Huawei is not a company that usually stands out for its daring designs. Virtually all smartphones manufactured by the Chinese company are very similar. The same goes for the Honor 8 Lite, which sports a design practically identical to that of the newly appeared Huawei P8 Lite. If the photographs do not deceive us, we have a terminal with metal frames and glass on both the front and back. At the front we have a screen with slightly curved frames. At the rear, only the small camera lens, located in the upper left area, and the fingerprint reader, located in the center, stand out.
The overall dimensions of the terminal would be 147.2 x 72.94 x 7.6 mm, with a weight of 147 grams. The Honor 8 Lite will be available, in principle, in four colors: black, white, gold and a nice bright blue that we already saw in the Honor 8.
Good technical set
If in design the Honor 8 is practically identical to the latest Huawei terminal, the same happens with the technical section, which is traced to that of the Huawei P8 Lite. For starters, we have a screen of 5.2 inches with resolution Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Density stays at 424 dpi.
The processor is also the same, a HiSilicon Kirin 655 with eight cores, four 2.1 GHz and four 1.7 GHz cores, and a Mali T830 MP2 GPU. Accompanying this processor we find 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by using a microSD card.
As for the photographic section, we have a primary camera of 12 megapixels with aperture f / 2.2. We understand that it will be the same as the Huawei P8 Lite, which has a larger pixel size (1.25 µm) and an LED flash. The front camera has a sensor of 8 megapixels, and if the same terminal that incorporates Huawei also take an autofocusing system.
And how could it be otherwise, we also have the same battery capacity as the Huawei terminal. The Honor 8 Lite will offer a 3,000 milliamp battery. Regarding connectivity we do not have too much data, the photos do not reveal what type of connector the company has decided to use, but the most normal would be a USB Type-C. The chosen operating system seems to be Android 7.0 Nougat.
But not only images and features have been leaked, also the price. According to the information that appeared on the net, the Honor 8 Lite will be priced at 270 euros. A rather surprising price if we consider that the Huawei P8 Lite, with the same design and features, is priced at 240 euros.
