Honor, the second mobile brand of the Huawei company, has just presented its new mid-range smartphone, the Honor 6X. It is a terminal with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and a 3340 mAh battery, which has a dual main camera: a 12 megapixel lens and a 2 megapixel auxiliary lens to improve the quality of the images. In addition, the phone has a fingerprint reader, one of the most common features of the high-end and that little by little is making its way into other terminals.
Honor 6X main features
The Honor 6X is a mid-range smartphone, with a 5.5-inch touch screen (slightly larger, therefore, than the 5.2-inch one found in the Honor 8) with 2.5 D and Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). The phone weighs 162 grams and measures 150.9mm long x 72.6mm wide x 8.2mm thick. The aesthetic is elegant and is based on a metal design.
Inside we find an eight-core processor, the Kirin 655 model (running at 2.1 / 1.7 GHz), and a Mali 5830-MP2 graphics processor. The terminal is DualSIM and there are two options available for RAM: 3 or 4 GB. Also in the case of internal storage there are two versions: one with 32 GB and another with 64 GB, although they can be expanded with an external microSD card of up to 128 GB capacity.
The base operating system is Android 6.0 Marshmallow, on which EMUI 4.1 (Huawei's customization layer) is coupled.
One of the strengths of the terminal is the battery, of 3340 mAh capacity, which will probably offer very good autonomy and guarantee a use of the terminal for more than a day without problems. The device also incorporates fast charging technology to obtain several hours of operation with little time of connection to the power supply.

The cameras are also notable elements in the Honor 6X smartphone. At the rear we find the main camera, dual, consisting of a lens and a 12 megapixel 2 megapixel lens accessory to improve the sharpness of images. This main camera has phase detection focus, and both sensors have LED flash.
As for the front camera, the resolution is 8 megapixels to attract users more interested in the selfies.
Dual camera and other features reach the mid-range
The Chinese brand Honor bets once again on the dual camera. After the launch of the Honor 8 in the summer, which also has a camera of these characteristics, it has decided to incorporate a mid-range version to its new Honor 6X terminal, at a lower price.
We also find a fingerprint reader on the smartphone, a feature that has almost become standard on high-end phones but is still making its way into the mid-range.
Price and availability
The Honor brand has officially presented the Honor 6X only in China, where it will go on sale for a price ranging from 135 euros to 215 euros, depending on the RAM and storage capacity: 135 euros for 32 GB of capacity and 3 GB of RAM, and 215 euros for 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. There will also be intermediate options in features and price.
In any case, these prices are only the change from the original price in yuan for the Asian market: we will have to wait for the official launch in Europe to know the final sale price in Spain.
